Q1. If I serf, will I not get a thermage or ulcera?

Accepted Answer

If you've had enough treatments in Tightening mode, you may not need to have Thermage. However, since Ulthera directly targets the SMAS layer with ultrasound, the Ulthera + Serf combination can be helpful if you want to maximize lifting.

Q2. Can I put on makeup right after the serf procedure?

Accepted Answer

You may experience some redness immediately after the procedure, but this usually subsides within a few hours, so you can wear light makeup the same day. However, we recommend avoiding cosmetics with irritating ingredients (retinol, AHA/BHA, etc.) on the day of your procedure.

Q3. Is it really impossible to get serp ball flames?

Accepted Answer

Because CERF is based on the principle of fibrous membrane contraction, not fat cell death, it is less likely to cause ballooning under the right energy settings. However, excessive energy can lead to unintended tissue changes, so it's best to choose a clinic with a well-designed site-specific design.

Q4. How much does 600 shots of Serp cost in tens of thousands?

Accepted Answer

It's hard to give an exact dollar amount as it varies from hospital to hospital. However, in general, 600 shots of Serf are known to be similarly or reasonably priced to 300 shots of Thermage, and the total energy delivery is often greater. Please contact Core Dermatology directly for exact costs.

Q5. When can I start exercising in the sauna after my CERF procedure?

Accepted Answer

We recommend that you avoid saunas, steam rooms, and exposure to high temperatures for two weeks after your procedure. Light exercise can be done after 2-3 days, but avoid strenuous exercise that causes excessive sweating for about a week to help with recovery.
